Texas High Plains
2023 Pinot Grigio
DESCRIPTION
Pinot Grigio has aromas of dried lemon peel, banana and canned pears that are carried along with flavors of apple butter, lemon grass, and toasty bread.
WINEMAKING NOTES
Pinot Grigio is picked when the acidity is just beginning to drop to maintain its inherent crispiness. It is whole cluster pressed, allowing for very little color extraction to preserve a pale, golden straw color.
VINEYARD NOTES
Pinot Grigio is from the Steve and Cindy Newsom Vineyards of the Texas High Plains. The warmer climate of he plains allows for earlier ripening and intense flavor development.
